Hunterdon County’s Bob Lloyd has been performing professionally for over thirty years, a magical course of life. Learning the art of magic as a child, Bob began his entertainment career by performing at birthday parties. As his skills grew, pantomime and juggling became important parts of his act. Aspiring to more professional outlets for his accumulating skills, Bob applied and was accepted into the renowned Ringling Brothers, Barnum & Bailey Clown College. There, the traditional crafts of slap-stick clowning, stilt-walking, and acrobatics were taught, and he must have learned well. Bob was among the select few graduates invited to join the circus. For the next two years his professionalism and stage presence were honed touring the United States with the legendary "Greatest Show on Earth." An avid student of the martial arts, Bob earned his fourth degree black belt in Tae Kwon Do, and is a master who now teaches the discipline in Flemington, New Jersey. Today, all the skills acquired in a lifetime of learning are on display in Bob’s performances. As countless playing cards and billiard balls are magically produced from nimble fingertips, only his charm is apparent. The effort is extraordinary, as Bob juggles balls, clubs, rings, and lit torches with equal expertise and enthusiasm. His presentation of illusionary mime is like magic without props: Bob's clever pantomime defies the eye, seeing is disbelieving.
